March Luv YA Book Club – CANCELED

16 Mar

Due to unforeseen circumstances (no where within 3 hours of Boston having the book and mine not coming in) tonight’s book club has been canceled.

Can ANYONE explain that 1.5 months out and this book is no where to be found?

As an aspiring writer — this scares me to death.

SO Sad! I was so looking forward to this! The book is a spring 2009 Indie Next pick, and the Boston area has many independent bookstores. Have you tried those? Also, we sold out of first editions very quickly. Maybe that’s part of the problem. :-/ I do hope ‘canceled’ can morph into ‘postponed’.

Don’t be scared. This business is strange. 🙂

Oh, it’s definitely just “postponed” – but I figured I’d pick a date when all of the North East has smartened up!

I did try several indies (I work in shop with one inside it *sigh* thus the book that didn’t come in – I called our YA buyer and asked why he hadn’t order the small group of stores any lol) but I’m super excited to hear that the issue is because of the 1st editions selling out! I’ve already gotten an email from someone saying she read it and was disappointed to discuss it b/c she really liked the unique premise!

I’ve only been at this 2 years, but yup, strange business.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope we see you again when we can all get your book!
