Still plugging along. Feeling behind since I restarted when i figured out where my real beginning was. Of course, it’s nice to see it so quickly instead of writing the whole darn thing and realizing something isn’t working in the edit mode.
That’s one of the things I like about FD. As someone who is a complete pantser, it’s nice to see it all in one swoop. To piece things together as you go instead of being like “Did I decide what I was going to do with that battle scene?”
One thing I did learn last time around: Start the ToDo list during the fast draft. It already has several things on it to be thinking about or fix in the read thru.
For example, are Tricken’s hands bound in front of him or behind him. I’ve decided behind him for certain reasons (don’t you love certain reasons) but i know I’ve written it both ways. But now I don’t have to worry about missing that later since it’s on the ToDo list
